Is Your Plumbing And Heating Prepared For Winter?

The turning of leaves and changing colors is a sign that winter is right around the corner.  Along with that,  taking the necessary precautions with your home or business plumbing and heating is very important to ensure a smooth transition into the cold months ahead of us.

Before Starting Your Furnace This Season

Before starting your furnace for the year there are a couple of things that need to be done for preventative maintenance purposes.  Start by changing the filter to your furnace if it hasn’t been in a few months.  Also, make sure you’ve had a furnace tune up by a qualified heating technician to ensure that your heating unit is running efficiently.

Is Your Plumbing Winterized?

Many people ask, how do you winterize your plumbing?  Well, when it comes to plumbing winterization, preparing your lawn faucets for the cold weather is very important and preventative maintenance is the key here.  It’s not enough to just shut the water valve off to the lawn faucet.  After the water valve is in the off position, open the lawn faucet and then drain the water from the water valve inside.

Tune ups and the proper maintenance is the best way to avoid plumbing and heating problems.  At Roger Vadnais Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning we’re a repair business and we pride ourselves on helping people with their plumbing, heating and cooling needs.  Contact us at (651) 429-3303 or visit us online at www.rogervadnais.com
