Re Pressurizing A Well Tank Or Pressure Tank

August 7, 2010

Low Well Water Pressure

Do you have low water pressure on a well water system?  Low water pressure on a well water system can be caused from a variety of things and one of which is the well pressure tank.  In industry terms, for the most part there are “old style” and “new style” well pressure tanks.  The old style tanks, unless rusted, are silver-colored.  The new style tanks have a bladder inside and are painted.  A well water system that has an old style pressure tank can usually regain its pressure by connecting an air compressor to the Schrader valve and filling it with the proper amount of air.  A well water system with a new style of well pressure tank should only be re-pressurized a maximum or one time.
