Minnesota Septic Systems

What type of septic system do you have?  At Roger Vadnais Plumbing, Heating, and Drain we service many types of septic systems around the White Bear Lake, Mn area including: Gravity, Trenches, Seepage beds, At-grade, and mound systems.

In-Ground Septic Systems

In-ground septic systems include: Gravity, trenches, and seepage beds.  Today, there  are two ways for conveying septic tank effluent by gravity: Trenches and seepage beds.  A trench septic system is generally a thin and long bed that allows effluent from the septic to absorb into the ground.  Seepage beds are anywhere from 3 feet to 25 feet wide.  Seepage systems also allow the effluent from the septic tank to absorb into the ground.

Above-Ground Septic Systems

Above ground septic systems consist of a septic tank, pump tank, and a distribution system or bed.  The two types of Above-ground septic systems are At-grade and mound systems.  The primary difference between the two septic systems is that the At-grade pumps the effluent into a distribution system and the mound pumps the effluent into a bed.
